Carneros Vineyard

The Carneros region, bordering the San Francisco Bay and straddling Napa and Sonoma counties, is blessed with summer fog and constant cooling winds, making it one of the finest regions to grow Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Until the early 1970s, the low, rolling hills of Carneros were used mainly for grazing (carneros means “sheep” in Spanish). Today, we own 73 acres of Chardonnay planted on the Napa side of the Carneros appellation as well as a few acres of varieties that thrive in cool temperatures: Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm all of our vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides and they are certified organic.
